Steve is without doubt
the closest in vocals and mannerisms to that of the young Cliff Richard.
Another favourite amongst regular theatre go-ers, Steve is one of the
most versatile yet totally convincing tribute performers around.
After his much
acclaimed performance on television’s ‘Stars In Their Eyes’, Steve was
asked to perform his shows all over the U.K. and Europe, including
seasons in Dubai, Spain and Portugal. He was also involved in the
‘Elvis, London Showboat’ seasons on the river Thames and spent ten weeks
portraying his idol at The Blackpool Opera House with Cannon and Ball.
Steve played the role of Eddie Cochran in the hit stage show 'Rockin On
Heavens Door' plus the 'Young Elvis' in the theatre show 'Elvis In
Concert'. After appearing on ITV's 'Stars In Their Eyes' and BBC1's
'Worlds Greatest Elvis Show', Steve was in high demand and played
alongside legendary performers such as Scotty Moore and DJ Fontana.
While working as a
regular studio guest on ‘The Caesar The Geezer Show’ on London’s premier
radio station, Capital, Steve was asked to write and perform many of
their jingles and promos often using his best Elvis voice. At the time
he was also working with Radio One’s Chris Moyles, when they would both
compose and Steve would sing the latest top ten of the week in an Elvis
style (quite literally minutes after the chart placings were
announced!!)
As
well as his own musical compositions Steve has also penned songs for
Shakin Stevens.
