Michael King is a name that has become
recognised in the world of live musical theatre as one of true
professionalism and dynamic stage quality. Always in demand and has
performed in numerous theatre productions around the world.
Hailed as "the best
Fury since Fury", Michael played the role of Billy Fury in the 2008
smash hit show 'Buddy Holly 50th Anniversary Tour' and also 'Fury' in
the hit show 'Rave On'.
He was the supercharged
rock n roll singer 'Ricky Corvette' in the stage show 'Dreams', and also
starred as Dion De Mucci in the 1959 re-creation 'Winter Dance Party'.
Michael was also seen
performing as Elvis in the UK theatre show 'The Power Of Presley' and
also plays the role of 'Presley' in the touring production 'Elvis Rocks'.
It was whilst playing Las Vegas with Elvis' very own backing group The
Jordanaires that Michael was presented with a 'Las Vegas Icon Award' for his
performances there. This being the only time a UK artist has received
this prestigious accolade.
On the 'Six-Five Special Edition', Michael
plays the part of Billy Fury in his early years to perfection.
His looks and mannerisms of Fury is quite
un-canny, and also coming from the same area as the British legend,
Michael's highly visual and dynamic performance as 'Britain's Elvis'
will have you thinking that time has been put back to the exciting days of long hot
summers, petticoats and pony-tails once more.
